National Civil Engineering Bridge Competition – The Curve

National civil bridge competition 2015 challenged participants to design a balsa wood bridge which can sustain a kg load for 30 second with the least deflection. Our team proposed the Curve. The curve is a line which gradually deviates from being straight for some or all of its length becomes the major structure to support load. Design of curve able to directs load onto two abutments and distribute compression through the entire structure elegantly.
