Site Sculpture

The initial idea is to use equilateral triangles to design the site sculpture. Due to the difficulty to arrange the small triangles, stability of the structure and time constraint, the idea was replaced by using big isosceles triangles. The whole structure stabilised by interlocking between the isosceles triangles. Centralized organization applied in this model, the isosceles triangles (secondary spaces) grouped beside the site (dominant space). It took about three days to complete the model.

Site sculpture used isosceles triangles and arranged them in deconstruction pattern. The idea of using isosceles triangles was abstracted from a glass bottle to create a sense of deconstruction. It is characterised by fragmentation, unpredictability and controlled chaos. My design of the site sculpture was to go against the site so that the arrangement of my sculpture clashes with the surrounding. To invoke spatial expression of pocket cluster space, I use a lot of fragmented isosceles triangles to create the spaces.
